Black PTFE packing is a sealing packing based on polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). It is enhanced by adding graphite particles or impregnating lubricants. It has excellent corrosion resistance, self-lubrication and wear resistance, and is suitable for high temperature and high pressure environments.
Material and Type
Main material: woven from polytetrafluoroethylene fibers, usually with added graphite particles or impregnated with lubricants such as silicone oil to form oil-containing or oil-free types.
Common variants:
·Oil-containing black PTFE packing: The friction coefficient is lower after impregnation with lubricants, suitable for dynamic sealing scenarios such as pump equipment.
·Oil-free black PTFE packing: does not contain lubricants, relies on the inherent properties of PTFE, and is suitable for static sealing.
·Aramid interwoven black PTFE packing: Aramid fibers are integrated to increase strength, suitable for high wear conditions such as slurry pumps.
